I'm sorry I haven't had as much time to update on here. I've finally got a little free time (business has been keeping me busy) so I have been getting Freckles' books re-edited and placed through 4 Paws Games and Publishing.

Freckles the Bunny Series, Book # 6: The Freckle Monster is now available on e-book in many locations. It is also available as Paperback on Amazon, Chapters/Indigo and McNally Robinson. You can order in the book at the last two as they have it listed online, but it is not stocked in the stores.

If you haven't heard, we will be doing a story reading (Freckles will be there) on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 and the library in Humboldt. I will be sure to add this to the events page here soon!

Lastly, I've removed the sales page. To make it easier for taxes, all books and products will be purchased through 4 Paws Games and Publishing's store only. This is the same for Sherlock's website. You can find some great items like calendars, posters and so much more! We are re-ordering his books too.

One last note. Once I get these re-edited and have a little free time, you can expect Sherlock's next book to be in the works. Yes, finally!

Retiring a book isn't easy and that is what I am going to be doing. I've already begun the process for book # 5 and will soon retire the others as well. I want the books to be the best that they can be. Part of that was finding a new editor. A new editor isn't going to fix everything though. I want my books to be published in Canada, with a Canadian ISBN because I am from Canada. I want my books to feel Canadian and that is why I decided to retire my books.

They will be online once again soon. I already have ISBNs available for them and they will slowly be removed and released. I will keep updating you on which books are going down. I don't think they will take all of the old reviews and place them on the new books so I will be sure to move them to the reviews page.

This is an exciting time as I start a new company. Unfortunately, it also means my books will slow down for awhile. I know what some may be thinking. It took you a year to get this book out so how much slower can they be? I promise they won't take this long again. I needed time to heal and get used to living in this house once more. I am mostly my old self again and I can write so they will be sooner than this next book was. I haven't forgotten about the other books I was writing either. I plan to fit it all in the best that I can.

It's that time of year again. School is starting and so much more! Sorry I haven't blogged updates here in a bit but we've been rushing to get back into our house. Some things have been moving far faster then we planned. We are hoping for everything to slow down after next month and for us all to be settled in. She has finally posted a second post and will continue to do so as the week progresses. Erika-Elizabeth has also co-authored Freckles' book # 6.

I am slowly changing around the website a bit to update it to the new changes on weebly. I am still in the middle of taking care of our home so I am afraid I don't have time to adjust every page right away. Some of the pages have a photo which comes with the design. I will be slowly removing these but again, slowly.

Here is what you all have been waiting for, the new book cover for the bullying book which has been set to release for the fall. A video trailer and book preview will come at a later date when I have a little time. We are already taking orders for this book. If you are buying a signed copy, I recommend buying early as this book is already generating a lot of interest.

Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your summer. I am sure many of you remember that we had a house fire last year in June. Well things are finally moving on the house but I am afraid it is going to take up much of our time this summer. August also has Anastasia quite busy with her upcoming marriage (congratulations from all of us!). We have decided to postpone book 6 until the fall sometime. We will try to get a cover up soon and you can still pre-order. We should have a better idea on a date further into August. Thank you all for your understanding! I am also afraid that I have had little time to continue on with Sherlock's book. He is looking to be around that time or early winter. I will keep you all posted!

The Signed Books Sales page of the website and the notes section of the Facebook fan page (see "Book Titles and Pricing" note) all have the ISBN's and Morals/Lessons Learned added to them. I hope this will make it easier for you to find the book and/or to decide on which book you may like. If I missed any morals that you may see in them, please let me know. I've also added book sizes and how many pages to the odd ones that were missed previously.

Hi! I am finally feeling better though I am not 100%. Things are moving along with book 5 and we hope to have it online before the end of April. I'm sorry about the lateness of the book but it was one heck of a respiratory infection that left me doing very little.

"Book # 5: Freckles and the Cost of Popularity" is already listed to pre-order and the buttons are there. I also have a pre-0rder button for "Book # 6: The Freckle Monster". There was a previous post on both of them so be sure to check them out!

I'm sorry to say that we are one less rescue for book 5. Willy's Happy Endings would still like to participate in placing their animals in the books, however, they are really busy at the moment and we haven't been able to get their signed form from them. We hope they will join us for the next book!

Due to Canada Post's hike of the stamp, I've had to increase the amount of shipping & handling to another dollar. I am very sorry about this but we need to cover the cost. If you are planning on purchasing more then one book, we did add 2 package deals. As well, if you aren't happy with the cost for more then 2 books, please contact me and I can bill you instead as the shipping does go down a little with each book.

As I said before, I am quite behind from being so sick. I am hoping to try and get the preview and trailer out this week or next at the latest. Be sure to keep an eye out for it! A "Preview" button has been added to the signed books sales page as well. This will help you to find the trailers a lot faster.

It has been a very busy time for us here between Christmas and a new book series. I'm afraid that it's been too busy to post. I am late in saying this but to all those that celebrate, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Christmas went well for us though we are still not back in our home. We were with family though and together so one could not ask for more. Now for some updates on what I have been busy with:

1. Sherlock the Remarkable Cat Series

• I finished writing his first book last night. The book is titled, "Sherlock, the Cat Who Couldn't Meow" and it is the first in the series. It is in need of editing and a cover but the plan is still to have it published and on Amazon by the end of this month. Once the cover is complete, I will be sure to post it online.
• Sherlock has been racking in fans! Between the interest and Freckles' website being so full of stuff, a site was created for him. http://sherlock-the-remarkable-cat.weebly.com/
• Sherlock's series is a chapter book series which means no illustrations. The page count before edits is 73 written pages. The book's estimated sales price will be $8. All of this could change yet.
• There is still a preview on Sherlock's website (before it was on Freckles' site but on sherlock's page. His page no longer exists). It is unedited and some stuff has been added but be sure to check it out! The first two chapters are included.
• We will be offering school readings for this as well though I have yet to determine how to present it yet.

2. The Author's Website

• The website has been changed a bit as I've added new page choices above. The choices now include direct links to both series websites. This required a total makeover.
• While the website's domain name will stay as it is, the cover title is now listed as Vickianne and Anastasia's to keep from confusing Anastasia's stuff with mine. I would like to make sure that her art is seen and this seemed like a great way to get people to notice her and realize that the work is hers and not mine.
• Photos and Videos have all been placed onto one page instead of two on that website.

3. Book Reviews

• It seems that I have little to no time to do reviews for other authors anymore. At least not for chapter books. My daughter has offered to take on this role and has been doing a great job of it. While some of it is slow, she is far faster at this then I am with lack of time. She has already done two reviews on her own (videos still need to be done) and has had compliments on them. Great job!

4. Freckles the Bunny Series

• Freckles is now on her 5th book this year! This book should be out near the end of February. The book is entitled, "Freckles and the Cost of Popularity." Learn more about it by visiting her website. A video preview should be out sometime later this month.

5. All Websites

• There was a glitch with the Pinterest link on the websites that I hadn't been aware of. These are fixed now! You can find us here:  http://www.pinterest.com/frecklesbunECRZ/
• Freckles and Sherlock's sites link to each other and my personal one will take you to both. I have not included a link back from the series sites to my personal author's website.

6. E-Books

• I have not yet added anymore books on Smashwords (nor updated) as I am currently waiting for my husband to read the contracts for putting them on Kindle. I will bring you news at a later date to let you know if the e-books go on Amazon or if I add more onto Smashwords, or both.

I've been pretty busy here with family matters, working on Sherlock's book and Freckles' book 5. Some new things as of late:

• Sherlock's page has been updated. There is now a separate page for photos & videos as well as a page with a list of characters. Some pictures from Freckles the Bunny Series are present if the characters were in those.
  
• Sherlock's story is coming along. I am currently on chapter 7 and the 46th page in the book. I had posted a new synopsis of "Sherlock, the Cat Who Couldn't Meow." This may once again be changed because while most of the story will be the same, I've decided upon a slight twist which I may use in this book.
• A character drawing has been done. This may change slightly to better portray him (as his tummy isn't white). Anastasia Drogaitseva will once again be illustrating. This will be the new look for his book covers.
• While both Freckles and Sherlock share the same world and town, a small bit of magic will be found in Sherlock's books. I hope this won't confuse the readers but I wanted to make these books a little different, just like him.
• Due to the unforeseen interest in his series, I will be trying to release the book mid-late January. Once I am near done, we will post the book cover and price. This probably won't happen until January so I'm afraid you will have to wait in suspense. I guarantee you that the cover is quite unique as we've set up a "theme" for his books, just as we have with Freckles' (hers is the titles are always a part of a sign or something). His will be quite different from Freckles' and I know you are going to love it!
• Some edits were done to the first two chapters again and I've added more detail, speech, etc. These have been uploaded in place of the old files. You can find this preview on his page and again, please remember that they haven't been edited yet. I simply couldn't wait to share a peek.
